Simple it goes like this, fully charge iPod, make sure software
is latest version. Disconnect iPod, pick one average length song
(4mins apx at AAC 128lbps) turn on repeat song and press play,
noting the time. make sure backlight is off (not an issue for the 6th gen nano,
 turn off EQ, set volume to midrange, don't turn your ipod off once you start
to play the loop and just let it go occasionally picking up the headphones to make
sure it's still going.

Well I did this, and so far it up to 6.5 hours. peaked at the battery indicator and
it looks like you have 85% left at this point, so you are well on for 24 hours play back.
